Our landscaping partner, JMR, is scheduled to perform the first major lawn treatment of the season May 7, 2026, weather permitting. Since JMR handles our mowing and maintenance, they will be managing the timing of the application to ensure it's most effective.
Here is a quick breakdown of what is being applied to our community's lawns:
- Fertilizer (13-0-0): A nitrogen blend that provides the fuel for the vibrant green growth the grass needs after winter.
- Pre-Emergent (Dimension): This creates a "shield" in the soil to prevent weed seeds, like crabgrass, from sprouting as the ground warms up.
- Herbicide (Speedzone): This targets broadleaf weeds that have already emerged (like dandelions) without harming the grass.
Safety Note: As a standard precaution, please keep children and pets off the grass until the application has had time to dry completely (usually a few hours).
