Here is a proposal from the Association’s attorney to challenge the assessed value on your home used for real estate tax purposes. Assessed values are reviewed every four years. If your assessed value is reduced, that number will be used in calculating your taxes for the next four years. If your home is granted a reduction resulting in reduced taxes, the attorney’s fee will be 30% of the savings you realize in the first year. The entire savings is yours to keep for years 2, 3 and 4.
