Anne, Rebekah and Matt described the pilot project they are working on to eradicate buckthorn completely, not only on Lake County Forest Preserve property, but on private property as well. The pilot area includes I-94 to Rt. 176 to Waukegan Road to Rt. 60. 640 acres of Buckthorn still exist, on private property as all of the buckthorn in the pilot area on Lake County Forest Preserve property has been cleared. Now they are looking to partner with private property owners to continue the buckthorn eradication.

- Native Restoration Status- Joe Sturonas
Finishing up the initial clearing of area 1, which is 2.5 acres. There will be 4 stewardships on area 1 this summer, along with a controlled burn in the fall. There will be 3 stewardships in Areas 2 and 3 this summer.
- Hazardous tree removal in common area status - J.V. Proesel
Woody’s completed the hazardous tree removal. Only received positive feedback after the felled trees were removed.

Sarah is currently following up with Lake County Forest Preserve on status.

Reviewed the 2018 budget, with focus on getting reserves back to desired level.
- Assessment increase for March 2018 - Joe Sturonas
Assessments increased to $230 this month, up $10.
Question came up to compare Glenmore Woods assessments to other comparable HOA’s in the area.
- Investment strategy for reserve fund - J.V. Proesel
J.V. investigated many possible options to re-invest a portion of our reserve fund, but determined that the effort is not worth the return.
- Stocking ponds with fish update - Sarah McMaster
Sarah will share the price list of fish with the pond committee to determine desired mix of fish to stock as a pilot project.

Research the cost of a moisture sensor for sprinklers in the front of the neighborhood so the sprinklers are not going off when the ground is wet - Sarah
Buckthorn on common property should be included in the cost of eradicating buckthorn
Pot holes - Joe will document and send to Green Oaks village administrator
Will inspect the concrete around the drains in the cul de sac’s after Ashford CT was damaged and repaired.
