A Glenmore Woods Homeowners Meeting was held on Thursday, November 19th, 2020 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was virtual over a conference bridge.

- Low bid awarded to V3 Companies
- LCFP has had good experience with them
- Clearing would be manual (Forestry Mower Prohibited) with some small equipment to move cut material to burn piles
- LCFP will extend the split rail fence along the trail adjacent to homes
- LCFP will extend the cost share for trees and shrubs to homeowners
- Several homeowners performed reference checks on V3 companies, visiting Ryerson Woods and speaking with Dupage County Forest Preserve
- Clearing contact specifies:
- Forestry mowing is prohibited; hand clearing methods include cutting by chain saw, brush clearing saw or handsaws.
- Disposal of woody material via brush pile burning
- Contractor responsible for “rutting damage” from trucks accessing the area
- Three years of experience with similar projects for crew members:
- Field leader
- 50% of clearing crew
- 50% of field crew applying herbicide
- Failure to properly identify woody species prior to cutting requires replacement of trees at the contractor’s expense
- All stems shall be cut at no more than two inches above soil surface (or 4” above water/ice)

- Glenmore Woods HOA facilitated a tree branch pickup service on Monday, November 16th, 2020.
- Opportunity to remove dead or fallen debris.
- Kinnucan picked up any dead branches, limbs, or trunks (no more than 9" in diameter) by the curb
- The contractor did a very nice job, look to do this again next year
- Special Thank You to the Koenig’s for organizing this

- 2021 will anticipate 2 Stewardships for Areas 1, 2, & 3
- 3 Stewardships for Area 4
- Controlled Burn for Areas 4?
- Area 5 would be covered by LCFP
- Stewardships required because:
- Each buckthorn fruit produces 2-4 seeds that remain viable for up to six years
- Birds eat these buckthorn fruits and then deposit the seeds everywhere on the fly

- A question came up regarding assistance from HOA to provide plantings to replace buckthorn in the easement
- A question came in regarding what defines an undesirable tree that we are looking to keep but classified as undesirable. The undesirables are Cotton Wood and Hickory
- Noted that Village of Green Oaks is taking into consideration removing buckthorn along Rt 176
- Please be diligent in protecting cars and homes from theft. Make sure all your cars are locked and no valuables are visible. Make sure all garage doors, doors, and windows are closed and locked. Please be diligent with packages this holiday season.
