Anne, Rebekah and Matt described the pilot project they are working on to eradicate buckthorn completely, not only on Lake County Forest Preserve property, but on private property as well. The pilot area includes I-94 to Rt. 176 to Waukegan Road to Rt. 60. 640 acres of Buckthorn still exist, on private property as all of the buckthorn in the pilot area on Lake County Forest Preserve property has been cleared.
