1. The tollway plans to expand the road by an additional lane in both directions.
2. The construction project will begin in 2007.

4. No work is planned on any of the bridges that cross the tollway.

6. Sound walls will be built along the west side of the road from Atkinson Rd. to Rte 176 and also the north portion of Equestrian Oaks subdivision heading north into Waukegan.

The Village of Green Oaks were advised that the Tollway used various criteria in evaluating which areas would receive sound walls. They indicated that they conducted sound reading tests in various areas of the Village of Green Oaks. Green Oaks have requested copies of all the tests and plan on conducting their own sound tests. The tollway is scheduled to hold public hearings on their planned expansion.
The Illinois Tollway Authority has published a 2007 Congestion Relief Construction Map that shows the areas of the tollway that will be under construction during 2007-2009.
